Spectacular Sunset!

Tonight, I witnessed the most stunning sunset I think I've ever seen here from our coastal home! We're down in a valley, so we don't often get to see sunsets as they happen.  Everything turned pink! Everything!  It was Incredible.

Witnessing sunsets (and sunrises, though I don't see those as often), to me is such a blessing and this one last night was a blessing indeed!

Fat Tuesday Sunset

I know, I take a lot of sunset photos. I can't seem to help myself! Maybe it's because I'm not usually up for sunrise (or awake enough to remember to go out in the back yard to take photos if I am), but I am smitten with the beauty of sunsets and I never tire of them! I took these from our front porch earlier this evening, where you can miss the sunset if you blink because we're down low in a valley of sorts here on the coast.

Soaring

There's a roost of turkey vultures just up the road from us and lately they've been soaring around on up-drafts around sunset.  Not the most attractive birds, but I I love watching them when they do this.  It's mesmerizing and beautiful.  I took these from our front porch.
